!!!２０１０年国際シンポジウム in Namibia
南部アフリカ地域研究会では，2010年11月20日にナミビア大学にて国際シンポジウム「現代南部アフリカにおける地域変動と環境・地域住民の動態」を開催しました．


本シンポジウムは，南アフリカ共和国におけるアパルトヘイト体制の解体後，急速に変容する南部アフリカ地域の動態について，研究会メンバーらが現地調査に基づいた研究報告を行ない，南部アフリカの現地研究者および実務家との議論を通して南部アフリカ地域社会全体の変動をローカル−国家−超国家の重層的な連関のなかで検討することを目的として行われました．


::地域や専門を超えて組まれた3つのセッション
研究会のメンバーは事前に勉強会や議論を重ね、各自が対象とする地域や専門分野を超えて，共通して表出する３つのテーマを設定した;
+国家による政策空間の形成とそれに対するローカルな実践の応答
+ローカルな実践に基づく国家や国際社会による周縁化言説の再考
+ローカル・コミュニティにおける起業家の出現と脆弱性





!Session 1: A Reconsideration of the Relationship between Policies and the Responses of Local People in Politically Regulated Areas

セッション1では、ザンビアの難民キャンプ、ジンバブウェの再定住地、そしてナミビアのコミュニティーフォレストを舞台に、通常のローカル・コミュニティと異なり国家政策（政治的強制）によって生活空間や資源利用，経済活動を規制された住民の暮らしに着目して発表を行なった．

!Session 2: Marginalisation, Autonomy, and Livelihood from the Perspectives of Displacement and Gender in Rural Zambia

セッション２では，個人の社会的属性の差異に基づく一部の住民の周縁化の問題と彼らの自律性に関する従来の議論に関して、差異を標づける要素としてディスプレイスメント（新参者／地元民）とジェンダー（社会的性差）に注目し、ザンビアにおける自主的定着難民の土地利用と農村女性の現金稼得活動の展開を事例に再検討を試みた．

!Session 3: The Emergence of Small-Scale Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas and the Impact on Local Societies

セッション３では，ナミビアとザンビアの農村部における起業家の出現を事例に、経済自由化などを背景に新たに展開する一部の住民のビジネスが、他世帯との所得格差を拡大している一方で、他世帯の資源アクセスや他世帯との社会関係にどのような変化を与え、地域社会全体としてどのような影響をもたらしているのか、脆弱性概念を用いて検討した．
