Special Issue of University of Nairobi’s MILA: A Journal of the Institute of Anthropology, Gender and African Studies published. This Special Issue features articles from Kyoto University Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies Professor Emeritus Shuhei Shimada and Associate Professor Akira Takada as well as alumni Yuichiro Fujioka, Koki Teshirogi, Rumiko Murao, Miyo Matsumoto, and Chihiro Ito. Dr. Yohei Miyauchi from Rikkyo University also published an article.
The Special Issue compiles the outcomes of a symposium held in Windhoek, Namibia, in 2010.
